Set at the turn of the century, cowboys and farmers are fighting over fences and water rights, while young farm girl Laurey can’t decide between two suitors vying for her affection.
 
Directed by Richard Carroll (Calamity Jane, The Show Goes On, Once), the production features timeless hits such as Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin’, People Will Say We’re in Love, and The Surrey With the Fringe on Top. Enjoy bluegrass, country and even a square-dance with the characters at the Box Social. This Oklahoma! is an off-balance society full of outsiders and misfits.
 
A fresh look at a classic musical that will bring out the shadows in the cornfields and guns in the smokehouse. This spirited spectacle invites you to join the townsfolk and band members in the heart of the action, right on the Heath Ledger Theatre stage.

In 2005, Adam Hall formed a classic Rhythm & Blues band, Adam Hall & The Velvet Playboys. The band is somewhat of an institution of the Perth music scene and renowned for its captivating live performances, marked by slick presentation and raw energy.

Alongside Adam (Vocals, Trumpet) it features some of Western Australia’s finest musicians, including:

Anthony Dodos (Trombone)
Bronton Ainsworth (Drums)
Kane Shaw (Double Bass)
Tim Voutas (Keys)

The band’s repertoire is rooted in the Jazz and Rhythm & Blues music of the 40s and 50s, from artists such as Ray Charles, Frank Sinatra, Louis Prima, Sammy Davis Junior, Harry Connick Junior, Jackie Wilson, Chuck Berry and The Blues Brothers. They also include a large library of Adam Hall originals and unique arrangements.

This free festival is created by the Dardanup Community to celebrate the diverse offerings of the Dardanup region. It is a great low cost day out for families with over 150 market and food stalls, live music and demonstrations, a monster kids craft marquee and plenty of animals!
 
Other attractions include the Tastes of the Ferguson Valley tent, trash and treasure stalls, Die cast toys and mini trains and of course the Wespine Fire Sculpture.
 
The festival's spectacular finale is in the evening. Live entertainment is provided until the lighting of the Wespine Fire Sculpture which is always built by a local artist. Hear the crowd roar as the ‘bull’ burns!

Charlesworth Ballet Institute invites you to our 2021 Summer School, which will be a celebration of Ancient Greece and all the legends and heros!

Dancers between the ages of 4.5 and 12 years old, are invited to come and join us for three half or full days of dancing and fun. The dancers will work with experienced teaching staff in the many genres including: Classical Ballet, Musical Theatre, Spanish Dance, Arts & Crafts and more - plus a special viewing of the Disney movie "Hercules"!
