Markets, restaurants, breweries, bars, history – you’ll find it all in Fremantle. Known for its maritime history, the port city is also home to the Fremantle Prison, which housed convicts from the 1850s to 1991, and the Round House, an 1831 building which also briefly served as a jail. If you’re chasing a good feed, the cappuccino strip is home to numerous Italian restaurants, Mexican joints, and pubs, while the port hosts a brewery and fish & chip shops. If you’re after some local crafts, a trip to the Fremantle Markets is always great value.

“We are thrilled to be heading back to our pub and club roots for these shows in WA, playing to the ‘working class fans’ who have supported us since our inception in 1986.

We’ve toured with orchestras playing to sold out houses in Australia, UK (including the London Palladium and Hammersmith Odeon) and Europe, but it’s the ‘true believers’ who are responsible for our success in band mode, over hundreds of gigs and lineup changes."

“…the Zep Boys are the real deal…they play with passion and above all a love of music …many attempt to pull off the trademark Plant howl but few succeed – Vince is one who does…..they should be given an open ticket to return.”  Daily Telegraph Manchester

Premiered on triple j Breakfast, the world of ‘Live In Life’ follows a person over the course of one night as they come to terms with the gravity of a relationship breakdown. As the sun sets, they’re feeling positive about the next chapter – a feeling that’s quickly swallowed by the weight of regret as night falls, by which point the damage is done and they realise it’s time to move on.

Tay Oskee Australian Tour 2020

The Aussie folk up-and-comer is coming back to Australia for his new tour

  • Dates:Oct 29

  • Venue:Mojo's Bar

Details

  • Ticket Price:$19.40
  • Type:Music
  • Music:Country & Folk

Description

2019 was Tay Oskee’s largest year to date, filled with the challenges and rewards of an independent artist on the rise. Off the back of his Sold Out ‘Black Smoke Tour’ in May, Tay uprooted his humble coastal life in Australia, basing himself in the UK for the second half of the year. Knocking off a 20 date European theatre tour supporting Xavier Rudd, a coveted appearance at Hungary’s prestigious ‘Sziget Festival’ and his debut international headline show to a packed room in London - Tay returns to Australia in 2020 with his latest single ‘Floating’.

Written during a period of adjustment between coastal life in Australia and the rapid pace of London, ‘Floating’ is a song about being in a place of stagnation with someone you love. It’s about accepting it, talking about it, then working hard to make sure you keep that spark alive. It’s about having fun, going on that road trip together, dancing on that night out and living in the moment. Then at the end of it all when you’re lying there on each other’s heartbeat, you realise it’s all okay.

Best known for cult gems like ‘The Girl’, ‘Lover Come Back’, and ‘Comin’ Home’, City and Colour eases confessional turbulences into enthralling swells of guitar-driven euphoria. Much adored for his emotionally intimate songs and crystalline live vocal, audience testimonials have earned him a dedicated fan base.

“Green's voice is truly captivating. The range from near whispers to fearless belts wring every melancholic lyric out dry.” – NPR

This year saw City and Colour release his first new music in four years, beginning with kaleidoscopic single 'Astronaut’ and follow-up ’Strangers’, a soaring track that Green says, “is about how you will never truly know another human being”. His sixth studio album ‘A PILL FOR LONELINESS’ will be released next week, Friday October 4, and is produced by three-time Grammy winning Jacquire King (Kings of Leon, Tom Waits).

Honing his live show in front of massive crowds at icon festivals including Coachella, Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza, City and Colour has over the years toured with P!nk, Neil Young, Alice in Chains, Ben Harper, Tegan and Sara and more.

Warming audiences around the country with her dynamic solo set is local singer-songwriter Alex Lahey. Lahey has played premiere music festivals including Falls, Splendour In The Grass, Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Sasquatch, Osheaga and more. With a brand new album The Best Of Luck Club under her belt, and after delivering a standout cover of My Chemical Romance’s ‘Welcome To The Black Parade’ for triple j’s Like A Version last week, Lahey is a star on the rise.
